And so it goes...

Mariana Musi

Image maker, imagineer, storyteller.

Mariana Musi is in a constant state of awe. Her work is an expression of the beauty she sees in everything—in every neglected corner, in the smallest things, in the briefest flashes of time. Her images are of the infinite and the delicate, the disappearance in process, the thing from the corner of your eye.
Born in Mexico City in 1982, Mariana has lived in France and New York City. She studied photography at ICP and did a residency in SVA. She has been Image Editor of  Fahrenheitº Magazine, a   contemporary Art Magazine based in Mexico City, for 3 years now.

She travels to other worlds while daydreaming at the breakfast table. Upon her return there are stories to be told and she tells them in how she makes her art and lives her life.

anything.
any  thing.
a NY thing.

The thing that we as human beings have in common is that we are all
different.
We all have the same needs but different
desires.

I want to present the city as it encapsulates the concept of a
"melting pot" of cultures.
The city that defines human beings as equals through our
differences.

The setting : New York City.
The tool:  A mirror.

Mariana Musi, NYC, 2008.
