And so it goes...

Judy Cooke

Judy was born in El Paso Texas to a military family, which she considers a blessing for having had the opportunity to travel around the world and the country. A major lesson  learned is that  basically, people are people everywhere you go.

The first major impression which she believes launched her spark and desire for creativity was seeing the castle ruins in France. It was  an awe inspiring and life changing event for a six year old.

After having completed a tour in the military, she settled in New Jersey in the U.S. and went to the Art Institute of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. She was awarded a spot in the who's who in junior colleges in  1987-1988.

I adore the act of creation and to know and trade thoughts with other artists. To admire and become lost in their works. To be transported to other worlds, to make things that never before existed until they found form through my hands. To research, explore, discover -parts of the journey to produce a piece of art for me is what it is all about. Painting is only one small medium in the world of creation.

My first artistic Hero was and still is Leonardo Da Vinci. A brilliant man on many fronts. Salvador Dali, Boris, Frazetta are my mains. But, there are so many wonderfully talented people who have influenced my life, and that I learn from everyday. Impossible to name or number, each brilliant in their own ways and observations.

Art is a way of life and perception to me. I see paintings and creation in everything around me. I have much ahead of me to explore and discover and the best is yet to come.
