Tina Conran Rothwell
Talented with her fine art skills, Michigan artist Tina Conran-Rothwell has spent the last few years painting, volunteering and donating. Tina interprets ambiguous subtleties of life’s journey.
My paintings come from a clear place where one feels a distinct journey, whether it is through a clear memory of a well-defined situation, reminiscent of a childhood memory or present day. The work is easily perceived by ones senses, a discerning characteristic where contradictions are present. Contradictions rule and judgment overtakes. This allows me the freedom to explore the beauty in all things.
The painting process helps me to understand not only myself but also the world around me. My rich and colorful life evolves through my senses, and passes down to my hands. It doesn’t let me forget my history or connections to the past. I then make the paintings become a tangible memory.
My paintings are an acknowledgment of who I am as a person, and allows me to share that part or moment in time with others.
